Vendor Manager
Objectives:
As a Localization Vendor Manager, You will be actively recruiting freelance translators, interpreters, trans-creators, content writers, copywriters, voice-over talents, desktop publishing (DTP) specialists, subject matter experts, or any other providers of the translation and localization services. You will design and implement procedures to ensure that our providers are competent, continuously maintain and improve their quality, and offer the best rate to the sourcing firm. The procedures include onboarding forms, testing, job feedback, training seminars, provider rankings, and service-level agreements.
Responsibilities:

Active management of supplier database

Define appropriate test procedures for resource qualification, handle test translations, and other work samples

Find and test new specialized vendors based on production needs

Anticipate and plan resource demand

Develop, track, and validate vendor KPIs

Evaluate and track vendor performance
-
Provide feedback to vendors and arbitrate
-
Negotiate rates
-
Liaise with accounts department on invoicing and payment status

Run vendor analysis, satisfaction surveys, and reporting

Compile and maintain vendor data and work documents
-
Act as an escalation point for vendors

Maintain vendor partnerships with a focus on vendor utilization, cost control, quality, and commitment to projects

Follow developments in the industry and language professionals community: benchmarking

Liaise with local professional organizations and universities to promote talent management
Requirements:

+2 years experience in vendor management, working in the translation and localization is essential

Excellent written and verbal English communication skills is a must
-
A second language will be a plus

Minimum Bachelors degree or equivalent
